University Student Rushed To Hospital After She Allegedly Attempted Suicide

A student of Anambra State University, identified as Okafor Chidinm has been rushed to an hospital after she allegedly attempted suicide by drinking a popular pesticide called Sniper.

The Herald gathered that Chidinma who is having an extra year at the university because of an incident had earlier informed her Facebook friends that she was going to engage in the  act.

In the message she dropped on her Facebook page, the student gave reason why she is having an extra year in the school after all her friends have graduated.

She said that her HOD invited her for a meeting where she was accused of stealing a book and made to face the school’s disciplinary panel. She was also made to write a statement and replace the book in question.

Yet, she said the school has refused to allow her to graduate after four years of study.  She added in the Facebook suicide post: “I tagged my coursemates mostly because apparently one or two of them is responsible for this.”

The Herald reported that the students of church-owned institution,  Covenant University had gone through a panic attack as the university management installs security cameras in all lecture halls of the school.

Covenant University which has been recognized as the best private university in Nigeria currently ranks number 6 on the list of best universities in the country, according to 2018 University rankings.

The school which is known for its strict discipline policy, has gone an extra mile in adopting new security measures by installation of these cameras.

In a video shared by a CU student on Instagram,  the cameras were installed at different angles of the lecture halls.
