Jose Mourinho has been charged by the FA and could potentially face a touchline ban ahead of Chelsea vs Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
The former Blues boss has been accused of swearing down the camera in Portuguese after the Red Devils’ 3-2 comeback win over Newcastle United before the international break.
Mourinho has been officially charged by the FA and in their statement they announced that the United boss has until this Friday to respond to the charge.
If found guilty then Mourinho could face a fine and immediate touchline ban, which could have implications ahead of the big clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
With the deadline 6pm on Friday, it could be too late for Mourinho to get his punishment from the three-person panel, so it could have an effect the following week.
The former Blues boss has not had a good record back at Stamford Bridge, losing in the FA Cup and the Premier League, and his woes could worsen should he be found guilty.
