Glasgow Central Mosque was put on lockdown after police were called to the scene at 3.40am
Police have descended on a mosque in Glasgow after the body of a man was discovered in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency services were dispatched to Glasgow Central Mosque at 3.40am today.
The building has been cordoned off, as officers attempt to establish the cause of death – which is being described as non-suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman told Mirror Online: “At around 3.40am police were called to reports of an 80-year-old man’s body being found at the Central Mosque.
“A post mortem examination will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death.
“The death is currently being treated as non-supicious.”
No one from the mosque was available for comment.
