Michy Batshuayi is undergoing a medical ahead of his loan move to Borussia Dortmund.
The Chelsea striker is set to join Dortmund on loan to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has joined Arsenal in a club-record £56million deal.
Batshuayi has been pushing to leave Stamford Bridge this month in order to play more regular first-team football.
He has started just four Premier League games since joining the Blues in the summer of 2016.
He agreed terms with Dortmund on Tuesday and travelled to Germany on Wednesday to complete the loan switch.
The deal will pave the way for Chelsea to sign Olivier Giroud from Arsenal in an £18million deal.
Antonio Conte had lined up Edin Dzeko as a replacement for Batshuayi, but turned their attention to Giroud after talks with Roma collapsed over the weekend.
Chelsea initially only wanted Giroud on loan, but will now sign the Frenchman on a permanent deal.
