Barcelona have confirmed that Philippe Coutinho is the club’s new No. 7 and has been handed the shirt number ahead of the new season.
The Brazilian wore the No. 14 after arriving from Liverpool in January but now takes over the No.7 which was last worn by Ardan Turan.

It had seemed that Barcelona were keeping hold of the No. 7 for Antoine Griezmann, before he opted to remain at Atletico Madrid.
It’s a number that has been worn by some real Barcelona legends in the past such as David Villa, and Coutinho will be hoping he can do it justice as he prepares for his first full season in Barcelona colours.
