The Gabon and Egypt internationals are back to the Emirates Stadium after helping their respective countries during the Afcon qualifiers
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mohamed Elneny have rejoined Arsenal ahead of their Premier League game against Newcastle United on Saturday.
The former Borussia Dortmund player was on target to earn a point for Gabon against Burundi during the African Cup of Nations qualifying outing.
The 29-year-old was, however, not part of the team that faced Zambia in Tuesday’s friendly game after teaming up with his club.
Also, Elneny played a key role as Egypt thumped Niger 6-0 at the weekend, scoring one of the goals in the encounter.
The Gunners confirmed the arrival of both players alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Aaron Ramsey and Lucas Torreira who were on international duty.
“A number of our international stars returned to north London,”
“Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mohamed Elneny, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Aaron Ramsey and Lucas Torreira were all present after playing for their countries last week.”
Arsenal are ninth in the league log with six points from four games and will be aiming to nick the maximum points against the Magpies.
