“Alisson Not Unsellable” – Roma Chief Alerts Liverpool

Roma chief Monchi has admitted Alisson is not ‘unsellable’ and suggested should an offer come in for the goalkeeper the club would be tempted to accept. However, Monchi insists the club have not received any transfer bids for the coveted stopper in the current window. Liverpool and Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazil No.1, and it was believed Alisson preferred a switch to Spain over England.

Reports from Spain did claim a deal between Real and Roma was close, but the Italians dismissed those suggestions as false. But, Monchi has now appeared to offer encouragement to Alisson’s suitors by hinting Roma are prepared to cash in on the 25-year-old. ‘We haven’t received any offers for him,’ said Monchi.

My thoughts on the matter are to wait until the World Cup, hoping for his and Brazil’s sake that it doesn’t come too soon for them, then he can rest and come here to train with his team-mates. ‘No player in the world is unsellable. Look at Neymar and [Philippe] Coutinho. If an offer of €500million came in for [Javier] Pastore he might be off. ‘No team in the world could say something like that about a player.’
