    My Kitchen: Gizzard Sauce

    The festive periods are here and it’s time to have fun in all aspect… especially concerning what you eat. It’s time to prepare for yourself those foods you have only imagined.

    Today we will be learning how to prepare the mouth-watering gizzard sauce

    Recipe for Gizzard Sauce


    • A Pound of Gizzard
    • 1 Bulb of Red Onion
    • 2 Tomatoes
    • One Green Pepper
    • 1 Yellow Bell Pepper
    • One Red Bell Pepper
    • Two Scotch Bonnet Peppers
    • 2 Fingers of Carrots
    • 1 Cooking Spoon of Vegetable Oil
    • A Clove of Garlic
    • 1 Teaspoon of Grated Ginger
    • Seasoning Cubes
    • 2 Tablespoons of Chopped Parsley (Optional)

    Fingerlicking Friday: How to prepare your mouth-watering gizzard sauce


    Wash gizzard and with chopped garlic, one scotch bonnet pepper, 1/4 chopped onion, seasoning cube and ginger, bring the gizzard to boil till soft leaving some stock from the boiled gizzard.

    Chop all vegetables and set aside.

    Heat up the oil in the pot and fry the gizzard till it starts to brown. Pour in the vegetables, stock and seasoning and stir.

    Allow sauce to thicken and serve with Rice, Pasta, Plantain, Yam or any other accompaniment of your choice.
